The Israeli startup “Electroroad” has invented electric roads that can wirelessly charge electric vehicles while they are moving along. Electromagnetic induction powers the vehicles with renewable energy. Only copper and rubber is needed. EVs would not have to stop to charge anymore. First tests have been successful so far. The company wants to expand their technology to Tel Aviv’s roads and test it on an electro bus route. Making the technology available to public transport system is the next step for the company to take. After a successful implementation, the technology will also be available for the private vehicle market.
