Norwegian company Stingray Marine Solutions has developed an underwater drone that helps salmon farms with the increasing problem of sea lice, parasites that live on the fish. The drone uses image-recognition software to identify the lice, and then eliminate them. The salmons are not hurt in the process due to their reflective scales. The technology is currently being used in Norway and Scotland, and might mark an important innovation in machine vision.
