According to a new report by Wrap, around 1.9 million tonnes of food waste is generated in the UK grocery supply chain every year. With more than half of that figure (1.1 million tonnes) being avoidably discarded, the potential savings amount to 1.9 billion GBP (2.46 million Euro).
