Within the next five years, the Government of India plans to invest $15 billion in its 100 smart cities mission. New technology will be applied to develop and install smart solutions and to improve infrastructure. Member of Parliament, MV Rajeev Gowda, said that this is to be done “with global best practices at the core and local realities and challenges addressed with a holistic approach”.
