Italy has reached an impressive milestone: The energy demand of 39 municipalities across the country is currently fully met by renewable sources. Due to the addition of 850.000 generation plants in the country, consumption of renewable energy in Italy has risen from 15 percent to 35,5 percent in the last ten years.
