The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) continues its work with Indian states to improve the energy efficiency of buildings. So far the support focused on Karnataka and Rajasthan, but it announced to extend this cooperation to include Andhra Pradesh. With the technical support of the SDC and new guidelines for energy-efficient multi-storey residential buildings, that consider local climate conditions, energy consumption could be reduced by up to 30 per cent.
