The Rockefeller Foundation started the 100 Resilient Cities project to enhance the resilience of cities against natural hazards. Melbourne and Sydney are the two cities in Australia that were chosen to be part of the project. As the recent power cut in South Australia shows, a developed and wealthy country is not unconcerned by environmental threats, as one could assume. Concrete roadmaps are being developed by stakeholders of different sectors to create sustainable and stressable cities.
