More and more companies aim to cut emissions and take actions but there still is a long way to go. Their plans for cutting emissions comply only to a quarter of what is actually needed. The plans are not enough to match the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement goal of limiting the temperature rise below 2 degrees Celsius. But not only the companies do too little, government plans for action are also too weak to reach the goal, says the United Nations.
