In a research cooperation between Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and CleanTech Park self-driving buses are developed and tested. The hybrid buses are equipped with sensors and a software system to steer the bus through the city. When successful, the researchers hope to address road safety, vehicle congestion and pollution when driverless buses complement Singapore’s public transportation system.
