Dave Hakkens created a series of machines that enable people to do plastic recycling on their own. The project offers free and open source blueprints, plans and instructions for building these machines which include a shredder, an extruding machine, an injection device and a compression machine. The construction information are available online for anyone to download. Every machine can be built with basic tools and materials so communities, organizations or people almost anywhere in the world will be able to transform plastic waste into new products and recycle plastic where it is needed.
