The state telecom of Thailand is holding an auction for the supply of fiber-optic network equipment to bring broadband to rural areas of the country. By March 2017 the national broadband internet network will be extended to 2,000 more villages to develop Thailand’s digital economy. The installation is part of the national digital infrastructure development plan.
