A survey of businesses in rural Irealand shows that access to broadband is a key factor for location: 37 percent of those interviewed indicated that they consider relocating their business due to no broadband connectivity. 44.5 percent said that the present speed of connectivity does not match the requirements of their business. The access to broadband is seen as a key factor for efficiency and economic development. Vodafone and Siro started a two-year intitiative to tackle the problem of broadband connectivity in the countryside of Ireland.
