Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris, and Patrick Ollier, President of Paris Métropole, announced a collaboration on a shared approach to resilience at the Global Summit on Inclusive, Innovative and Resilient Cities. The goal of this collaboration is to strengthen the region’s capacity to better anticipate, prevent and recover from acute shocks and disasters (flood, heat waves, terrorist attacks) and chronic stresses (migration, poor air quality, long-term effects of global warming. The collaboration is supported by 100 Resilient Cities. Paris has been a member of the network since 2015. The city has also engaged more than 400 stakeholders inside and outside the city to assess resilience.
