In order to have more people choosing their bike as favorite means of transportation, cities have to provide protected bike lanes. Numerous scientific papers show that safer biking lanes for cyclists, especially those incorporating physical segregation, increase their number and lowers the risk of accidents. Baltimore, USA, is one of the cities that take these facts serious and put them into practice.
