Floating Power Plant is a Danish company that developed a technology to create energy by harvesting power from wind and waves from turbines on a platform located at sea. A windmill is attached on top of the platform to collect wind energy. The plants can be constructed in locations where the sea is over 45 metres deep. In 2019 the floating power plant will be exportet to Wales or Scotland. The company has made agreements with an Irish company that would like to use the technology for offshore windfarms in Scotland and Wales.
