AeroVironment developed a new drone, Quantix, that launches like a rocket and flies like an airplane. It will ship the new drone in spring next year. Instead of being controlled with a joystick like many other drones, Quantix follows the route that has been drawn on a map before take-off. The drone can reach up to 45 miles per hour and has a flight capacity of up to 45 minutes. The drone is made for commercial use and equipped with sensors and cameras.
