A research group of the US, Italy and France found that there could be a great potential in earthquake forecast enabled by gravity sensors. Earlier research has shown that there are changes of the gravitational pull around an epicenter. If these changes could be collected, the population could we warned earlier than with existing methods. However more research is needed before this method can be applied in reality.
