Energy powered by paint on houses, ships and cars: a source of energy to be taken seriously? Image source: Shutterstock (#345802274)

Korean researchers have developed a thermoelectric paint that can generate electricity from waste heat. The advantage of paint compared to existing thermoelectric devices is that they capture the whole waste heat because it fully covers and envelops the surface of an object. The researchers say that the paint would be particularly useful for capturing heat from walls and roofs during summer months. The paint could help power homes, vehicles and even ships.
