Siren Care, a startup that helps you keep track of your health, developed smart socks for diabetes patients. Foot swelling is a common symptom of diabetes 1 and 2 and can indicate more severe problems. Sensors that are woven into the socks by Siren Care can track high temperatures and send alerts to the smartphone of the patient. The socks can be washed and recognize when they are worn. Otherwise they go into sleep mode.
