Successful strike against one of the world’s biggest botnets

The public prosecution department of Verden (Germany) together with Europol, FBI and other agencies in 40 countries coordinated an operation in simultaneously ten countries against the botnet Avalanche. A tentative appraisal of the damage done by Avalanche has been set to about EUR 6 million. Five people have been arrested.
