A team of researchers at the University of California, Berkeley, develops wearable sweat bio-sensors to receive molecular information of the human body. Smart wearables are already commercialized but so far they can only detect vital signs and keep track of physical activity. In order to collect molecular data ultra-low power, flexible electronics have to be developed that are at the same time printable. Wearable sweat bio-sensors play an important role in this area as they can easily provide a range of sweat biomarkers in real time from which accurate health-related data can be drawn.
