BBC has started a series where people in need can draw on help from experts and top inventors in the UK. In the first episode 29-year old graphic designer Emma Lawton receives support by Haiyan Zhang, Microsoft Research Cambridge’s innovation director, to improve her writing and sketching ability that is imparied by her Parkinson disease. The smart device that is worn on the wrist balances out the tremors of to the wearer’s arm. The idea is similar to a previous invention by Zhang and her team where they developed cutlery for disabled people that can reduce spilling food.
