Many recent studies find that environmental changes can affect the transmission of everything from malaria to the Zika virus. Scientists say, it is increasingly important to understand these links. A new study, lead by Cyril Caminade from the University of Liverpool, provides new evidence that environmental changes can increase the threat of diesease. Unusual warm temperatures caused by the El Niño event helped the spread of the Zika virus in Latin America. Even though the climate and climate changes can play a role in terms of an outbreak of epidemics but this does also depend on many factors like the population density, healthcare etc.
