London’s Mayor, Sadiq Khan, announced his plans for 10 more “Low Emission Bus Zones” in London. Green buses will operate on the most polluted routes. The green buses will be a combination hybrid and clean buses that meet European standards. This part of Khan’s strategy to cut harmful nitrogen oxide emissions that are responsible for deaths of more than 9000 residents every year. In 2017 the city generally aims at tackling the dirtiest vehicles.
