The TM Forum, which is the global industry association for digital business, announced its Smart City Maturity and Benchmark Model. The Model includes the key aspects essential for a city’s transformation to become a smart city. The advantages of the model are that a city can assess its strenghts and weaknesses in five key dimension areas that set clear goals how to transform over the next five years. Moreover, the model enables the city to benchmark itself against similar cities and identify other cities potential partner cities that face the same challenges.
