The United Nations released a new study which finds that electronic waste is rising enormously across Asia. Higher incomes allow millions of people to buy gadgets such as smartphones, tablets, PCs and TVs which has serious consequences for human health and the environment. China doubled its e-waste between 2010 and 2015. In 2015 it generated an average of 21,7 kilograms per capita, followed by Singapore and Taiwan that had a per capita e-waste of over 19 kilograms in 2015.
