The Airbus Group plans to test a selft-piloted flying car prototype by the end of the year. Last year the company founded a division called “Urban Air Mobility” that explores concepts for vehicles transporting individuals or for a helicopter vehicle carrying several riders. The vehicles should be booked via an app similar to car-sharing schemes. Flying vehicles are supposed to reduce traffic jams and pollution as well as costs for infrastructure planners. The vehicles themselves base on clean technologies and energy.
