Cisco launches center that helps smart city developments in India

The American technology company Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) and the global business process management and services corporation Genpact Ltd. (G) announced to launch a Global Center of Excellence in Jaipur, India. The partnership is part of Cisco’s Lighthouse City project which is a global initiative that is supposed to deploy next-generation cloud-based technology in cities and impact citizens and society. Jaipur will gain access to Cisco’s global network and channel program capabilities which will help cities to benefit from economic and social transformation. This is embedded in the country’s Digital India program.
