Global Positioning Specialists calculated the potential GDP savings through driverless cars in more than 73 countries. The US tops the list of 340 billion USD of losses every year because of traffic accidents. 90 percent of crashes are caused by human error so if all the cars were fully autonomous the US could save up to 306 billion USD.
