Start-Up raised 23 million USD to produce 3D printed car chassises

Divergent 3D is a Los Angeles-based startup that has raised 23 million USD to commercialize its manufacturing platform. The platform uses 3D printing to produce chassis for cars. The 3D printed joints can be connected with carbon fiber materials to build strong and light chassis. By using 3D printing the company can lower capital investment and production costs while producing structures that are 50 percent lighter and require less fuel.
