Alphabet, BMW and Lowe’s are funding the 3D metal printing startup “Desktop Metal” which is based in Burlington, Massachusetts. With a new venture funding of 45 million USD to startup will soon be able to take its first product into mass production. 3D printing is not so popular when it comes to plastic 3D printing and consumer-facing printers, but industrial and metal 3D printing has gained popularity.
