Radisson Blu flagship to be emission free and provide heat and power

The Radisson Blu flagship hotel in Frankfurt will be free of emissions due to the installation of an industrial scale fuel cell that delivers clean power and heat. The hotel group has partnered with E.ON to install the fuel cells at the 400-room hotel. The fuel cell technology will start generating power and heat in summer this year. It will provide 3GWh of electricity and 2GWh of heat to the hotel while at the same time cut carbon emissions by 600 tons a year. The project was backed by a 800,000 grant from the government’s National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Program.
