First waste food supermarket opened in Germany

In the German city of Cologne the first supermarket that only sells salvaged food waste has opened. It is the first of its kind in Germany and the third one in the EU. The shop sells all kinds of products which would have been destroyed as waste otherwise. The supermarket is called “The Good Food” and it does not have any fixed prices. Consumers decide how much they think a product is worth. The supermarket owners are not worried that there could be any health risks becuase the expiry dates are only a suggestion. To prevent anyone getting sick, the supermarket team informs their customers very thoroughly.
