Uber is going to map roads in Asia for the first time as it aims to improve its service in the region. Mapping cars have been deployed in Singapore which is the first country in Asia. The mapping cars gather information that improve the service for drivers and passengers. These cars have already been used in the USA, UK, Australia, Mexico, Canada and South Africa. Uber has hired two executives from Google’s Maps team to handle the mapping project. Now the company is increasing its focus on India and Southeast Asia where Uber has already been profitable and works to introduce other services such as UberEats. UberEats started in Singapore last year and has recently started in Bangkok, as well.
