Jaguar and Shell are collaborating on a first new in-car payment feature that allows drivers to pay via Apple Pay or PayPal for gas without leaving their car. The feature will be launched in the UK first tomorrow but it will be available all over the world afterwards. In order to make use of the new feature, drivers need to install the Shell app. The information concerning payment process will then show up on the car’s touchscreen display. Via the app the driver selects how much gas he wants to have filled up and then pre-pays. The receipt shows up on the display and a copy is sent to the driver’s email address. Currently the feature is only available to drivers of the new model Jaguar XE, XF and F-PACE.
