New high tech camera for self-driving cars and drones

At the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, scientists have developed an ultrafast high-contrast camera that records slightest movements and objects in real time. It records changes in light intensity between scenes at nanosecond intervals much faster than conventional cameras. Moreover, the data is stored in a much smaller format so there is more storage space available. The new camera is named Celex. At the moment it is its final prototype phase. The camera could especially help self-driving cars and drones see better in extreme road conditions and in bad weather.
