In order to extent its current fields of business, Honda will set up a new R&D center within the company to explore potentials in robotics, artificial intelligence, big data and others. The so-called R&D Center X, also focuses on robot-human interaction and plans for cooperations with other partners in the field. The further development of current fields of activity, such as automated driving, will not go short in the new research facility though.
