Google and Levi’s introduce smart jacket

As a result of a coalition between Google’s Project Jacquard and the Commuter brand from Levi’s, a trucker jacket was designed to let customers operate their smartphones safely and conveniently while on the road with a bicycle. While only basic smartphone functions like answering calls and playing music are accessible through the smart fabric in one sleeve of the jacket, Google is looking for a way to let third-party developers contribute to the advancement of what is first and foremost considered a piece of apparel. The Commuter Trucker jacket will be sold for $350.
