The World Bank announced they would be giving away $480 in loans to renewable energy projects operating under Argentina’s RenovAr program. The projects 27 projects receiving the loans consists of ventures in solar energy, wind energy, and hydro power.
Argentina, in a bid to increase the share of renewable energy to its economy to 20 percent by 2025, auctioned off a host of other projects as well. Developers showed enormous interest, and submitted bids to build facilities worth 6,366 megawatts of capacity.
