Swedish energy provider Vattenfall will cooperate with the German automotive giant to use the same energy storage system BMW uses for their i3 electric car for its wind power facilities. The storage is planned as a backup for when wind as a natural resource is not available.
Vattenfall is building implementing wind energy projects in near Amsterdam and in South Wales.
