Consumer goods giant Anheuser-Busch (ABInBev) announced that they are putting plans in motions to make the company 100 percent powered by renewable energy by 2025. With this commitment, ABInBev will play an important part in mitigating climate change. Every year, 6 terawatt-hours of electricity would turn clean with the switch. 75-85 percent of the energy is to be purchased, the rest to be generated through on-site installations.

ABInBev also joined the RE100 initiative. The transition to renewable energy will start in Mexico with an agreement to purchase electricity from Iberdrola.
