Airlines may soon start using facial recognition in order to help the passengers pass through the boarding gates quickly. It is reported that recently implemented systems at Heathrow can capture passenger’s features, boarding pass and a facial scan. Facial recognition not only helps in increasing the securtiy infrastructure but also the other industries such as retail by giving the details about the number of people visiting the store alogwith the relevant data, for example a shoe store may gather data about the shoe size, shoe designs etc. of the prospective customers visiting the store.
