MatchRiderGO is a web and mobile app-based platform designed to help people share rides over short to mid-distance routes (less than 100 km), especially regularly-scheduled commutes, that make up to 80 percent of all private vehicle traffic. The MatchRiderGO system helps drivers to share costs with passengers and it helps passengers to get conveniently and inexpensively from point A to point B, often integrating with other forms of public transportation into a combined mobility solution for communities and businesses.
Our product solves the problem that ride sharing is not attractive for short to mid distance travelling so far by offering a reoccurring schedule of rides with focus on specific, high traffic commuter routes. Our platform offers the passengers plannability combined with a high grade of flexibility. By offering rides on a daily basis by paying drivers a guaranteed rate, MatchRiderGO bids a high grade of reliability for commuters as well. By our innovative app, bringing demand and supply together, it is very convenient as regular rides can be booked with just one touch.
Awards
In in the first half of 2015 Match Rider was part of the Axel Springer Plug and Play Accelerator program in Berlin. In November 2015 Match Rider won the ShareBW prize by the Baden-Wuerttemberg ministry of science, research and art for the development and launch of MatchRiderGO. Most importantly, in 2016 Match Rider has received an investment from KIC InnoEnergy-Highway Program.
