Hyundai Motor Co. is planning to introduce new connected-car systems by 2019. These new systems will allow the users to operate the home appliances using voice commands and are scheduled to make a debut in South Korea in the next two years. These systems will work with platforms such as Amazon Echo and Google Home on a global scale. The planned system includes a home-to-car functionality, which allows the users to start their cars and open or close their doors through speech commands and is planned for the 2018 release. However, the second functionality, the car-to-home connectivity which allows the users to control temperature, home lighting etc. directly from cars, will be launched in 2019.
