Tesla has recently announced it intend to double the number of charging stations in its worldwide network until 2018. With the overarching goal to make charging “convenient, abundant and reliable” for Tesla customers, the electric vehicle manufacturer is increasing the number of rapid charge points from 5,400 to over 10,000 and the number of Destination Chargers from 9,000 to around 15,000 to cope with the impending rollout of the Tesla Model 3.
