San Francisco startup Atomwise has developed AtomNet, an artificial intelligence system that creates new drugs by analyzing the biological structures and processes. Predicting the bioactivity of small molecules, major diseases could be cured by robots at a far greater rate than humanly possible. This might save millions of dollars and years in time for experimentation.
The AtomNet AI has already produces drugs that could be instrumental in the fight against multiple sclerosis and Ebola, although approval might take a while.
