UNDP and Ofo join hands to raise awareness about climate change

One of China’s most famous bike sharing firm, Ofo has partnered with the United Nations to help raise awareness about the reducing the personal carbon footprints and tackle the environmental challenges. Michael O’Neill, UN Assistant Secretary-General and Director of External Relations at the UN Development Programme (UNDP) said, “this is an innovative partnership which will make real strides towards protecting our precious environment.” UNDP and ofo also aim to establish a scholarship program for environment research and startups offering green product and technologies. Ofo will also additionally provide abandoned bikes to children in rural areas to improve their access to education.
