General Motors has announced that is going to construct a battery factory in China this year in order to cope up with the growing EV demand in China. Given the fact that China is now the world’s largest car marketplace, the automakers are investing heavily in the partnerships and infrastructure development in China to remain competitive. As per GM, two thirds of its new vehicles in China between now and 2020 going to be “new energy vehicles”.
