Fastned, Netherland based electric vehicle fast-charging network firm has recently inked an agreement with the Van der Valk Hotels & Restaurants chain, which operates out of the Netherlands and Belgium, for the development of a chain of associated electric vehicle fast-charging stations. According to the company,”This marks a next step by Fastned in the development of a European fast charging network. … Currently Fastned has 63 stations operational in The Netherlands. Fastned recently acquired additional locations in Germany and signed an agreement with Transport for London for the realisation of fast-charging stations in The Greater London Area. The partnership with Van der Valk allows Fastned to expand its network to Belgium.”
Bart Lubbers, co-founder of Fastned said,”I’m very proud that Fastned is now expanding its network in all neighboring countries. This makes Fastned a European company and gives electric drivers ever more freedom to drive anywhere. In 2011, I invested in Fastned to realise a national charging network in the Netherlands. I’m excited to see that we are now building a European network together with an ever-increasing group of private investors.”
Fred van der Valk also commented: “Both Van der Valk and Fastned cater to people who are on the road and have a strong focus on customer service. This forms the basis of our partnership. With high quality charging stations at our hotels and restaurants we will provide an important additional service to our customers.”
