Community energy developer Mongoose Energy will officially announce the launch of their new crowdfunding platform Mongoose Crowd today. The service was created to connect investors with UK community energy projects and enable them to invest with means of community energy bonds within a tax-free Individual Savings Account (ISA) wrapper, regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
“More people want a bigger say in where their power comes from, where their investments go, and in improving their own communities,” said Sir Ed Davey MP, former UK Energy & Climate Change Secretary and chairman of Mongoose Energy.
Mongoose Crowd offerings is set to go live during Community Energy Fortnight, somewhere inbetween 24 June and 8 July.
